Job summary

KV Capital in Canada seeks a Fund Accountant to manage the accounting records for its private equity funds, prepare financial statements and investor reports, and support audits and tax compliance under IFRS and ASPE.

The successful candidate will report to the CFO, work with a third-party administrator, and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment contributing to KV Capital’s growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred (in process or completed).
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably private equity or public accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fund accounting records, reconcile accounts, and liaise with third-party administrator.
• Manage accounts payable for funds, review invoices, and issue remittances.
• Perform payroll functions for funds, including quarterly payroll for Board of Directors and tax filings.
• Prepare monthly/annual financial statements for funds per IFRS/ASPE.
• Assist in quarterly investor reporting and Board reporting.
