Job summary

LCBO in Toronto is seeking a Privacy Advisor (Contract) to provide advice, training and direction on FIPPA and privacy best practices.

Reporting to the Director, Privacy & Access, you will identify privacy risks, conduct assessments, audits and support the privacy program across LCBO.

This onsite 12-month role requires a college diploma in Privacy or related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of privacy experience.
• College diploma or higher in Privacy, Information Management, Library Science, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with FIPPA or privacy legislation is an asset.
• Professional privacy certification (CIPP/C, CIPT, CIPM) an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate privacy guidance to LCBO staff and programs.
• Identify and assess privacy risks; advise on mitigation plans.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, investigations and audits.
• Support LCBO privacy program, policies, incident response and regulatory compliance.
• Lead communications with the IPC regarding privacy complaints and investigations.
