Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia, Department of Service Nova Scotia, King's Printer/Postal Services, seeks a detail-oriented clerical professional to ensure accurate, timely processing of about 3 million pieces of government mail annually, following Canada Post rates and guidelines. You may move between King's Printer and Postal Services as needed.

The role requires three years of related clerical experience and strong organizational, communications, and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

  • Three years of related clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of Canada Post rates, procedures and guidelines is considered an asset.
  • Skilled in shipping, receiving and distribution of government mail and related materials.
  • Document filing and data entry with attention to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Process government mail accurately and on time, using shipping systems and post-processing equipment.
  • Assist in production and distribution of print and postal services for the department.
  • Maintain organization and effective communication within and across teams.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
