What Does Success Look Like As Our New Principal Software Architect Manager?- Lead with Vision – Provide thoughtful technical leadership and design cloud-first solutions, including managed services and infrastructure for a modern data platform.
- Design with Purpose – Develop a forward-looking cloud architecture blueprint that supports our mission, growth, and long-term success.
- Build for Impact – Craft high-level designs for scalable, reliable software systems—from components to protocols—ensuring seamless and joyful user experiences.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Security, and business leaders to align on an enterprise-scale data platform that enables seamless data exchange and unlocks innovation through Data Science.
- Promote Best Practices – Implement smart practices around cloud cost management, system monitoring, scalability, and redundancy.
- Advocate for Smart Solutions – Evaluate and recommend the best tools, technologies, and frameworks that align with industry standards, including HITRUST compliance and cloud security best practices.
- Champion Performance – Identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring that our architecture is built for high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Drive Strategic Execution – Contribute to planning, estimation, and project execution while maintaining architectural integrity.
- Review and Refine – Conduct technical solution reviews and recommend improvements to ensure continued excellence.
- Innovate and Prototype – Design and execute proof of concepts, architecture roadmaps, and custom demos that bring ideas to life.
- Document and Share – Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation that supports team learning and long-term success.
- Flex with Us – Jump in to support additional responsibilities as our projects grow and evolve.
What Does An Ideal Candidate Look Like?- Proven Expertise – 8+ years of experience in technical architecture roles, including enterprise-level solution design and implementation using Microsoft technologies.
- Hands-On Technical Skills – Deep experience with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, HL7/FHIR, APIs, Microservices, and web integrations.
- Cloud Architecture Know-How – Strong grasp of cloud-native data architecture patterns and platforms—such as firewalls, gateways, Infrastructure as Code, SaaS models, data lakes, modeling, ontologies, Dataverse, Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Factory, and Purview.
- Power Platform Experience – Demonstrated success working with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, RPA, and ideally Copilot Agents too.
- Certifications a Plus – Bonus points for certifications in cloud architecture or software from Microsoft or other leading platforms.
- Full Lifecycle Fluency – Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, release management, data migration, and go-live support.
- Collaborative Spirit – Comfortable working with vendor partners and offshore development teams to bring scalable solutions to life.
- Agile Mindset – Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools like Atlassian and Azure DevOps.
- Mission-Driven Heart – A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of high-risk seniors and frail older adults.
- Thrives in Growth – Energized by early-stage, high-growth environments where you can help shape the future.
- Healthcare Tech Experience – Prior experience evaluating and implementing technology stacks in healthcare settings is a big plus.
- Curious & Proactive – A fast learner who’s comfortable digging into new subject areas, spotting risks early, and proposing thoughtful solutions.
- Clear Communicator – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Other Pertinent Information- Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday role with a hybrid schedule. While most of your work can be done remotely, we appreciate your flexibility to come into the office when in-person support or collaboration is needed.
- Location: You’ll support our teams across both the Greater Los Angeles and South Los Angeles markets—with the exciting possibility of contributing to future markets as we grow.
$175,000 - $195,000 a year
What's in it for you?myPlace Health offers a robust compensation package for this role that includes cash compensation and other total rewards. Base pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, relevant work and industry experience, certifications, and location of the role. Onsite roles include appropriate geographic adjustments, while remote roles are typically priced off national pay data.
