Job description

Rumble is a high-growth neutral video platform that is creating the rails and independent infrastructure designed to be immune to cancel culture. Rumble’s mission is to restore the Internet to its roots by making it free and open once again.

What You’ll Do:
Rumble is seeking a visionary Principal Network Architect to lead the charge in designing and deploying world-class infrastructure that powers everything we do. This isn’t just a technical role — it’s a strategic one. You’ll shape the architecture that enables global scalability, high availability, and future-proof agility. We're looking for someone who doesn’t just follow best practices — they define them. Be the driving force behind the next generation of resilient, scalable, and intelligent network architecture.

As a key architect in our team, you will:

  • Design, implement, and evolve large-scale, highly available network infrastructures across data centers, campuses, and cloud environments.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all things network — mentoring engineers, documenting top-tier designs, and translating complex concepts into clear strategy.
  • Proactively identify and present innovative approaches for network growth, optimization, and resilience to senior leadership.
  • Dive deep into complex outages and performance challenges, providing calm, expert resolution — including on-call rotations during critical incidents.
  • Travel to key sites to oversee deployments and collaborate with stakeholders on the ground.
  • Troubleshooting during times of critical systems failure and being on-call during rotations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive security, automation, and performance excellence across our ecosystem.
  • Own your space — and push the boundaries of what’s possible in modern networking.

Required Qualification:

  • Expert-level knowledge of core and datacenter network architecture and topologies.
  • Deep experience with enterprise and service provider L2/L3 protocols — EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS — you’ve used them in production at scale.
  • Strong command of tunneling, path selection, segmentation, and traffic isolation techniques.
  • Expert troubleshooting experience — you’re calm under pressure and can dissect and resolve the toughest infrastructure issues.
  • Hands-on expertise with at least 2 of the world’s top network vendors and operating systems.
  • Proven experience with routing policy development and optimization.
  • Fluency in optical networking technologies and how they integrate into modern hybrid infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of anycast, and DDoS mitigation strategies
  • Proficient communicator who is capable of presenting information at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to learn, be challenged and have fun in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with network automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Python).
  • Familiarity with internet peering, traffic exchange, and routing security (RPKI, IRR).
  • Knowledge of advanced network telemetry strategies.
  • Comfort with open-source routing stacks and traffic engineering protocols (e.g. Segment Routing).
  • Prior experience capturing, filtering, and analyzing network traffic in production.

Why Join Us?
This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to shape the digital foundation of a fast-moving, tech-forward company. You’ll work alongside engineers who care deeply about quality, innovation, and impact. If you’re ready to architect at a level where your decisions directly influence global performance and resilience, we want to talk to you.

Why Our Team Loves Working Here:

  • We are making a significant financial impact for our video creator community; we’re proud of their success stories
  • We enjoy challenging the status quo and going head-to-head against Big Tech
  • We aren’t afraid to try new things; we act fast and want to win
  • We pay competitive salaries and provide great benefits
