  • Maintain a five-year strategic road map for the continual development and implementation of data analytics in mineral exploration.
  • Maintain currency of new practices and methodologies in data analytics – particularly in areas of relevance to exploration e.g. spatial data applications and ensure regular communication of these to MEX.
  • Manage third-party relationships, either technically, administratively or both, where data analysis is a major component of the service provided.
  • Direct contribution on the geophysical and geological aspects to mineral systems framework design (feature generation) and provide advice on aspects of individual model design and utilization of outputs.
  • Maintain visibility of the universe of global service providers, including potential partners from industries outside of the geoscience application.
  • Champion and raise awareness with the body of geoscientists within the MEX group on the theory and application of AI methodologies commonly applied in the geosciences.
About You
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics or any data science related field from a reputable university.
