Principal Data Modeler — Capital Markets Technology

Data is at the center of everything we do in capital markets trading. Our Trading & Execution Services Data team owns the capture, retention, analysis and reporting of transactional data across the full cross asset front office trading lifecycle: equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX and commodities.

We're looking for a senior data leader to own our end to end data modeling strategy across a modern cloud data lake, build and grow a team of data analysts, and act as the bridge between front office trading desks and backend engineering.

What you’ll do:

Lead the design and delivery of enterprise grade data models across a cloud native data lake and lakehouse environment. Set the data modeling strategy (conceptual, logical, physical) for a top tier capital markets technology organization. Build, manage and develop a high performing team of data professionals. Partner directly with front office stakeholders and engineering leadership to translate trading workflows into scalable data architecture.

What you bring:

8+ years in data architecture, data modeling and data strategy, with strong exposure to capital markets, with hands‑on exposure to multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, commodities) & deep understanding of capital markets trading workflows, trade lifecycle, and market data structures. Fluency in trade lifecycle, market data structures and industry protocols like FIX. Advanced SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling and transformation. Strong grounding in ETL/ELT patterns, pipeline orchestration and real time data ingestion. Proven people leadership and the executive presence to influence senior stakeholders.
