Altus Group is hiring a Principal Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of a unified data platform. You will build scalable pipelines on Databricks using Python, SQL and Spark, mentor engineers, and shape engineering standards across teams.

The role reports to the Head of Data Science and is open to candidates in Canada or the UK, with a remote work model to support global growth in commercial real estate data products.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL and Spark.
• Experience with Databricks and building reusable data products.

Responsabilités

• Define reusable data engineering patterns and frameworks across the team.
• Develop production‑ready pipelines on Databricks with Python/SQL/Spark.
• Collaborate with Data Science, ML Engineering, Product and Architecture to align priorities.
• Mentor engineers, review code and raise engineering quality.
• Translate complex real estate data needs into scalable data solutions.
