Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Principle Engineer - Applications to join the DCS organization in Burnaby, Canada. You will lead platform enablement for Switchtec PCIe switch products, provide advanced system-level debugging, and deliver training and supporting collateral.

This role requires deep hardware, firmware, and software integration expertise across data-center and AI platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, validation, marketing, and field engineers to ensure successful

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong C/C++ programming skills and scripting ability in Perl, Bash or Python.
Experience with PCIe, PCI Express, and Switchtec products is a plus.
Experience with kernel-level debugging, JTAG, and firmware on RTOS platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead customer platform enablement for Microchip Switchtec PCIe switch products.
Provide advanced technical support, platform-level debugging, and collateral development.
Deliver technical training and presentations; mentor junior engineers.
Collaborate with hardware, software, QA, and product management to define requirements and deliverables.
Travel to customer sites to debug systems and support deployments.
