Epic Games is seeking a Principal AI Programmer to build LLM-driven capabilities inside Unreal Engine, spanning engine code, cloud services, and editor tooling. You will design and ship scalable AI systems that enable agents, tooling, and orchestration inside the editor and runtime.

You will work across engine, backend services, and web UI, partnering with engineers and mentoring others while advancing AI-centric engine automation and safety.

Competenze

• Experience with Unreal Engine, engine architecture, and tooling/editor scripting.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI/LLM-powered features in real-time interactive software.
• Strong understanding of cloud services, web APIs, databases and service deployment.

Mansioni

• Design and build LLM-driven agents and tools inside Unreal Engine (engine-side C++/Python).
• Extend cloud-hosted agent harness, services, and the database mediating between LLMs and the engine.
• Work across engine tooling, cloud backend, and web UI to ship end-to-end features.
• Evaluate integrating LLM capabilities (tool use, multi-agent orchestration, context management) into Epic's engine tooling.
• Define technical direction for reliability, safety, and evaluation of LLM-driven automation.
• Mentor engineers on game engine internals and LLM system design.
