Job summary

Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Core seeks a part-time English/Literacy teacher for JK–Grade 6. This in-person role is based in Oakville, with after-school hours (4:00pm–8:00pm) and Saturday availability.

You will work with up to three students at a time, teach using pre-planned lessons, follow Oxford Learning methodologies, and complete post-lesson notes and daily student updates. Applicants must reside in Oakville or have a short commute from Mississauga, Burlington, Etobicoke, or Milton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Teaching certification
• Strong knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 6 curriculum
• Ability to teach Kindergarten to Grade 6 students
• Experience teaching young children in a joyful manner

English Teacher Wanted (JK - Grade 6)

Must reside in Oakville or be commuting from one of the following locations: Mississauga, Burlington, Etobicoke, or Milton

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience. Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Coreiscurrently seeking part-time English/Literacy teacher for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language and social studies and is passionate about helping children build their skills inthese areas.

Teacher-Tutorsat Oxford Learningdo nothave to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturdays(10:00am - 3:00pm). A commitment until the end of theschool year is preferred.Continuing through the summer is even better.Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position.No relocation package is offered.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding through a variety of resources
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
