Job summary

Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) is seeking qualified individuals to support students with diverse needs by delivering age-appropriate learning in a primary classroom setting as a Supply DECE on a casual/call-in basis.

Casual/Call-in assignments run Monday to Friday from September to June, with daily rates of $25.03/hour and long-term assignment rates of $26.80/hour, plus OMERS pension and TELUS EAP benefits. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college Early Childhood Education diploma (or in the final year)
• Active registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (or in process)
• Experience in an Early Learning Centre or Day Care is an asset
• Ability to lift, position and transfer children and equipment
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability for casual assignments during the day

Responsibilities

• Partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning kindergarten program
• Design and implement age-appropriate activities for early childhood development
• Provide supervision and age-appropriate learning for groups of students in extended day programs as required
