Primary Early Childhood Educators

Locations: Dr. Ken Sauer Fine Arts School, George Davison School, Southview School, Vincent Massey School, and TBD

Medicine Hat Public School Division is accepting applications for Primary Early Childhood Educators (ECE) for our Licensed Play & Learn programs. This is a 3.5-hour position, which may be combined with a 3-hour Educational Assistant (EA) position for current employees. The position is ten months long, offering competitive compensation and employee benefits.

The role involves planning and providing programming opportunities for kindergarten-aged children in the Play & Learn programs. Responsibilities include supporting early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional development during the 2025-2026 school year. Successful candidates may continue in the role if enrollment supports. The position begins on August 25, 2025.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification
• Intermediate First Aid/CPR
• Criminal record check with vulnerable sector check (less than three months old) prior to employment
