Job summary

York Region Paramedic Services is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Primary Care Paramedic – AIV to deliver ambulance services and 24-hour patient care between hospitals. You will report to the Superintendent/Supervisor, Paramedic Operations, and must meet MOHLTC standards and certification requirements.

The position runs for 24 months with 42 scheduled hours weekly and 24/7 shifts. Wages are $48.32–$52.12 per hour, with benefits and a pension for eligible staff. Apply to [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Completion of a College Diploma in Ambulance and Emergency Care and eligibility for AEMCA in Ontario.
• Strong communication and ability to interact with community partners.
• Computer literacy with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Internet).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary emergency medical care at PCP-AIV level and transport patients as directed.
• Maintain vehicle readiness, complete reports and documentation per standards.
• Communicate with CACC and healthcare teams; participate in training and quality initiatives.
