Island EMS Inc. is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic in Alberton, PEI, responsible for providing immediate medical treatment and transportation of patients to appropriate facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership and professionalism in emergency situations, maintaining a safe and efficient ambulance operation.
Qualifications include current PEI Paramedic License, CPR card, Class 4 Driver's License, and valid ACLS certification. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $33.34 - $42.10 as per the collective agreement.

The ACP (Advanced Care Paramedic) provides immediate treatment and transportation of sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities. ACPs operate within the scope of the Advanced Care practice, provide leadership throughout each shift using specified educational training, and are responsible for decision-making, leadership and safety of the ambulance throughout each shift. ACPs work alongside PCPs and ICPS daily and provide a reliable insight throughout emergency medical situations. Due to the nature of operating in the public eye, a high level of professionalism, communication, and knowledge is always expected. The ACP is required to conduct themselves in a safe and discreet manner, responsible for conduct justification to patients, family members, hospital staff, management, public agencies, legal court, and more.
Salary: $33.34 - $42.10 hourly as per the CUPE 3324 Collective Agreement.
