Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master of Science in Nursing – Primary Care Nurse Practitioner training is required.
- Passed the OIIQ/CMQ certification exam.
- Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a complete health assessment (medical history, physical examination).
- Establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans; prescribe tests where needed.
- Prescribe medications and treatments according to standards; perform procedures (suturing, minor drainage).
- Coordinate with family physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other professionals.
- Educate patients on treatments, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
- Document interventions rigorously and adhere to protocols and legal requirements.
