Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital ED team. You will participate in direct patient care, assessments, planning, and education, collaborating with the care team to support patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes discharge planning, patient advocacy, and family education, with shift rotations including evenings and nights. BC-based LPN registration is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program with 1 year related care experience.
• Current practicing registration as an LPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care in the Emergency Department within a team-based model.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate interventions, and coordinate health services for ED patients.
• Participate in discharge and care planning and patient education for illness and wellness.
• Document care provided and responses in organizational systems.
• Collaborate with other health care providers as needed.
