Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a preventive maintenance technician to service Ford and GMC trucks, keeping the fleet in top condition for customers.

You will receive training through Ford, GMC and U-Haul programs and have access to the tools you need to succeed, in a team-oriented environment. This role emphasizes safety, manual labor, and the ability to work on lifts, perform oil changes, tire and brake maintenance, and occasional road tests.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
