The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the printing press to produce labels and related products.

This position offers onsite training and the opportunity to learn a valuable skilled trade in the printing industry. Employees will have unlimited growth potential and the chance to continuously advance their careers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Reading job orders to understand requirements or special instructions.
2. Setting up the press efficiently, adjusting printing impression and colors as necessary to proof and PMS LABs.
3. Measuring PMS colors using Spectro densitometer.
4. Understanding basic ink/color matching.
5. Collaborating with Supervisor or QA to sign off on new jobs or match previously printed specification folders.
6. Documenting specifications with ink sequence and anilox details.
7. Meeting time and footage targets for makeready and run footage as per job ticket.
8. Maintaining and cleaning anilox rollers and press equipment.
9. Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
10. Keeping work areas organized and clean, adhering to 5S standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience/training; or equivalent.
• Preferred: at least one year of flexographic printing press experience.
• Knowledge of silk screening, hot stamp, cold foil, shrink sleeve, and 2-ply labels is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
• Ability to read measurement devices such as rulers and scales.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
