Job summary

APS Metal Industries Inc. in Pickering, Ontario, is seeking an experienced metal fabricator with a strong background in CNC, brakes, and presses.

The role requires 5+ years in metal manufacturing, a valid apprenticeship or equivalent, and the ability to work on-site at the physical location. You will inspect shapes and specifications, set up and run metalworking machines, perform minor repairs, and ensure high-quality parts through precise measurement and safe operation in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in metal product fabrication/manufacturing.
• On-site work with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and specifications.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or form metal stock into parts.
• Investigate problems to fix or perform minor repairs.
• Set up and operate light or heavy metalworking machines.
• Operate presses or forging machines for hot or cold forming.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
