Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a nurturing Preschool Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in a vibrant Kimberley preschool. You will assist with daily activities, supervise children, and help create a positive, engaging learning environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

You will work closely with the teaching team to ensure well-being and development of young learners, in a setting that prioritizes play-based learning and a collaborative, supportive atmosphere for staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with preschoolers or in a childcare setting.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of child safety and first aid principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily lessons and activities.
• Supervise children in the classroom, during playtime, and on excursions, ensuring their safety.
• Support children's individual needs, including feeding, hygiene, and emotional well-being.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Foster positive interactions among children and encourage social skills development.
