We are currently seeking a dynamic Presales Security Expert-Federal, to be a part of enabling the success of our rapidly growing business.

As a Presales Security Expert-Federal, you will:

  • Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with customers to gain an understanding of their business challenges and technical requirements. Provide tailored solutions and demonstrate the advantages of Fortinet products and solutions. Act as the primary technical expert during the pre-sales phase.
  • Post-Sales Support: Provide technical expertise during and after the sales cycle by providing deployment and integration assistance. Collaborate with technical support and development teams when necessary ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Technical Presentation & Demos: Deliver advanced product demos and presentations showcasing the capabilities and benefits of Fortinet products and solutions to a broad range of stakeholders. Regularly interface with Fortinet Channel partners within the region.
  • RFP Support: Review and qualify RFIs and RFPs to understand the technical requirements and business drivers and to align them with Fortinet’s products and solutions. Collaborate with internal teams such as product management, development, and sales teams to respond to RFPs with detailed and comprehensive responses and address any concerns raised throughout the process. Ensure that the proposed solution meets relevant technical standards.
  • Proof of Concept/Solution: Work closely with customers to identify the success criteria for the PoC/PoS ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Lead or assist in the deployment and testing and create any necessary technical or architectural documentation that outlines how the solution will be integrated and adopted in both greenfield and brownfield deployments.
  • Continuous Learning/Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats as well as emerging technologies. Maintain expert-level knowledge and competitive insight of Fortinet’s products and solutions. Create technical marketing collateral such as white papers and solution briefs of Fortinet products and solutions.
  • Account Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects.
  • Travel: Travel will primarily be within the designated region, but may also include occasional travel to other regions.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience in pre-sales support as a security expert or systems engineer
  • 3+ years’ experience working with the Government of Canada
  • 3+ years’ experience in responding to RFPs
  • 1 or more FCSS/NSE7 certifications, other certifications are an asset
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements for the Government of Canada
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent technical and business acumen
  • Ability to design and develop network and security solutions and reference architectures
  • Deep technical knowledge of the following technologies:
    • Secure Networking (TCP/IP, NGFW, IBAC, DPI, PBR, etc.)
    • Secure SD-WAN (Dynamic Routing, VPN, ADVPN, DIA, WWAN, etc.)
    • LAN Edge (VXLAN, 802.1ax, 802.3bz, 802.1q, 802.11, OFDMA, QAM, etc.)
    • Unified SASE (SIA, SPA, SSA, STEA)
    • Universal ZTNA
    • Cloud Security (Public/Private, Automation, Orchestration, Containerization, etc.)
    • Identity and Access Management (LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, FIDO, SSO, MFA, etc.)
    • Network Access Control (Visibility, Automated Response, 802.1x, etc.)
    • Web Application Security (Content Routing, DoS, Bot Mitigation, etc.)
    • Endpoint Security (EPP, EDR, NGAV, Forensics, etc.)
    • Email Security (IBE, DLP, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, BEC, CD&R, etc.)
    • Security Operations (SIEM/SOAR, IR, etc.)
    • OT and Critical Infrastructure Security
    • Cryptography (Encryption/Decryption, Digital Signatures, Protocols, etc.)
  • Previous Vendor or Reseller experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in both French and English
  • The successful candidate must possess or be eligible to obtain Secret Level II security clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
