Job summary

Wonderbrands in Longueuil, QC is seeking a Warehouse Clerk for the shipping team. You will ensure the accuracy, speed, and quality of customer order products while operating forklifts and pallet handling.

The role requires prior shipping/distribution experience, the ability to adapt quickly, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. SAP knowledge and forklift certification are assets.

Qualifications

• The candidate has prior shipping/distribution experience (preferably in food industry).
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and take initiative.
• Autonomous and proactive, focused on learning and growth.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Understand warehouse shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment (forklift/pallet jack) to move bread between shipping area and trailers.
• Organize floors and shipping aisles, sort orders and load trailers in the correct order.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and food safety checks on trailers.
• Work across shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Complete all paperwork related to shipping and receiving.

The warehouse clerk will work in the shipping team to ensure the accuracy, speed, and quality of customer order products.

SALARY: Starting at $22.88/hour + bonus (depending on shift and experience)

START DATE: as soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Working in the warehouse and inside/outside the freezer, using a stand-up and/or counterbalance forklift and a walk-behind pallet truck.
• Move the stacks of bread from the shipping area to the trailers using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Move the empty stacks of bread trays from the trailer to the factory using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Organize the floor and shipping aisles, sort orders, and load the trailer in the correct order.
• The job may include periodic work in the freezer (bonus for these hours).
• Complete all paperwork, including daily forklift inspection and perform food safety checks on the trailer.
• Available for various shifts throughout the week, including the flexibility to work weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) and holidays as needed.
• Additional responsibilities can be added to better meet the needs of the business.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a shipping/distribution environment (preferably in the food industry!) is required.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Be autonomous and proactive through opportunities to learn and grow, and be the architect of your own career.
• Forklift license/certification an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Have a very good understanding of the warehouse's shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. And comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks, including bending, lifting, and squatting.
