Job summary

Wonderbrands is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to support the shipping team in ensuring accuracy, speed, and quality of customer orders. The role includes forklift operation in both normal and freezer areas, strict safety checks, and daily paperwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping/distribution, preferably in the food industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Forklift license/certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the warehouse and inside/outside the freezer using a stand-up and/or counterbalance forklift and a walk-behind pallet truck.
• Move stacks of bread from shipping area to trailers using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Move empty bread trays from trailer to factory using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Organize the floor and shipping aisles, sort orders, and load trailers in the correct order.
• Possible periodic work in the freezer; hours may include weekends and holidays as needed.
• Complete paperwork, including daily forklift inspections and food safety checks on trailers.
• Available for various shifts throughout the week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Additional responsibilities can be added to meet business needs.

Overview

SALARY: Starting at $22.88/hour + bonus (depending on shift and experience)

Responsibilities

• Working in the warehouse and inside/outside the freezer, using a stand-up and/or counterbalance forklift and a walk-behind pallet truck.
• Move the stacks of bread from the shipping area to the trailers using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Move the empty stacks of bread trays from the trailer to the factory using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.
• Organize the floor and shipping aisles, sort orders, and load the trailer in the correct order.
• The job may include periodic work in the freezer (bonus for these hours).
• Complete all paperwork, including daily forklift inspection and perform food safety checks on the trailer.
• Available for various shifts throughout the week, including the flexibility to work weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) and holidays as needed.
• Additional responsibilities can be added to better meet the needs of the business.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a shipping/distribution environment (preferably in the food industry!) is required.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Be autonomous and proactive through opportunities to learn and grow, and be the architect of your own career.
• Forklift license/certification an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Have a very good understanding of the warehouse's shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. And comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks, including bending, lifting, and squatting.
