Overview

The Warehouse Associate will work on the shipping team to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and quality of customer orders.

SALARY: Starting at $22/hr + 1.50$/hour night bonus (depending on shift and experience)
START DATE: as soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Work in the warehouse and inside/outside the freezer, using a stand-up and/or counterbalanced forklift and a walk-behind pallet
• Move stacks of bread from the shipping area to trailers using a handcart/trolley and forklift
• Move empty stacks of bread trays from trailer to factory using hand truck/cart and forklift
• Organize the shipping floor and aisles, sort orders and fill the trailer in the correct order
• Activity may include periodic work in the freezer (bonus for these hours)
• Complete all paperwork including daily forklift inspection and performing food safety checks on the trailer.
• Available for various shifts throughout the week, including flexibility to work weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) and holidays as needed
• Additional responsibilities may be added to better meet business needs

Requirements

• Have previous experience in a shipping/distribution environment (Preferably in the food industry!)
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be autonomous and dynamic through opportunities to learn and grow, and be the master of your own career
• Forklift license/certification , an asset
• Knowledge of SAP an asset
• Have a very good understanding of warehouse shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. And be comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks, including bending, lifting, and squatting.
