Overview

The Freezer Attendant is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of frozen products in the freezer area of our distribution center. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring product integrity, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work in the warehouse and in/out of the freezer, using a Raymond Reach stand-on and/or counterbalanced forklift and a walk-behind pallet truck.
• Move pallets of finished products from the preparation area to the appropriate location in the freezer.
• Organize the production floor, freezer and aisles (maintain the required number of trays for packaging and finished products).
• Perform a complete visual inspection of incoming trailers and ingredients to ensure they are compliant upon unloading.
• Prepare orders and fill the refrigerated trailer in the correct order.
• Inspect and receive all deliveries, ensure all documentation is correct and perform.
• Complete all paperwork including receiving logs and carry out food safety checks on the trailer.

Requirements

• Experience in the food industry an asset.
• You have an excellent understanding of warehouse shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are self-starters, and are motivated by opportunities to learn and grow, and are in charge of your own career.
• Have strong math and computer skills.
• Experience with a narrow aisle (long reach) truck.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a freezer: equipment provided.
• Have a forklift driver's license and ideally some knowledge of SAP and WMS systems.
• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!).
