Job summary

Freson Bros. in Hinton, AB is hiring a Part-Time Prep/Line Cook to support our kitchen with fresh, local ingredients and a commitment to real food.

You will cook and prepare items per recipes, keep a clean workstation, assist customers during peak hours, and embrace ongoing learning and development in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations.
• Experience as prep or line cook preferred.
• Smokehouse experience preferred.
• Must be warm, welcoming and able to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Willingness to learn and develop continuously.

Responsibilities

• Cook, smoke, and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation.
• Store and prepare food per safety policies and procedures.
• Handle customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional experience.
• Embrace real ingredients to produce real food.

We are hiring for a Part-Time Prep/Line Cook position with a wage range of $15.00 - $18.00 at our location in Hinton, AB. (Hinton Hill location)

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cook, smoke, and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food products
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
• Properly prepare and store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing an exceptional customer experience
• Embrace and champion the use of real ingredients to produce real food

What you Bring:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, smokehouse cooking, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Experience as a prep or line cook is preferred
• Smokehouse experience is preferred
• Warm and welcoming personality
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
