POSITION SUMMARY

Our line and prep cooks take pride in preparing and producing food with real, fresh ingredients. Your attention to detail and care is brought to each recipe and dish to ensure the final product leaving the kitchen is of the highest quality. Your adherence to our safety and sanitation standards contributes to a clean, safe environment that all team members are proud to work in.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Consistently complying with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Portioning food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Following proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Handling, storing, and rotating all products properly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
