Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Canada is seeking a dedicated kitchen aide to assist with meal preparation and presentation for residents. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure high-quality dining programs and exceptional resident satisfaction.

You will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, follow recipes and safety guidelines, and support banquet and special events as needed. Strong English communication and basic math are required.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English with residents and staff.
• Food handlers permit as required by provincial law and/or Company standards.
• Able to follow recipes and production guides.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied.
• Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist cooks as requested.
• Adhere to standard food safety practices.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
