Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a friendly Server to deliver food and beverages in our premium spaces. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure a high-quality guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain sanitation, handle payments, coordinate with back-of-house and other departments, and uphold health and safety standards while building lasting guest relationships. Evening and weekend availability is required, and ProServe certification is a must.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• A positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• You must have a valid ProServe.
• Exceptional communications skills and ability to get along well with others.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders following established steps of service.
• Deliver food and drink promptly; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs.
• Know the menu and make suggestions.
• Coordinate with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate orders and accommodate special requests.
• Address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure premium areas are set up and kept clean; uphold sanitation standards.
• Collect payments and close bills to the proper tender.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with guests.
• Adhere to uniform standards and SOPs.
