Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders in Canada is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to drive value through design options, cost estimating, and constructability insights. You will work with owners, architects, and engineers to optimize project outcomes across Canada.

You will lead design-assist teams, develop Construction Management Plans, and keep projects within budget and schedule while supporting procore-based workflows and trade coordination.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Architecture degree with construction industry experience.
• 2-5 years progressive experience in design, cost estimating and/or construction.
• PMP qualifications preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Familiar with building codes, health & safety regs and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide preconstruction leadership to deliver value-based design and constructability options for projects in Canada.
• Engage in design meetings with owners, architects, and engineers to optimize cost, schedule and constructability.
• Review drawings and specifications, advising constructability, value engineering and sequencing options.
• Prepare and lead Construction Management Plans (CMP) for permitting, logistics, site conditions and safety.
• Lead design-assist teams of trades and consultants to optimize renovations in occupied facilities.
• Support owners with trade procurement, construction management platforms (e.g., Procore) and process documentation.
