Job summary

Zero Point Cryogenics in Edmonton, AB is seeking a skilled welder for a salaried, full-time role in our fabrication and prototype environment. You will weld aluminum and stainless steel components, read drawings, verify your own work, keep the welding booth clean, and collaborate with engineering, production and procurement teams.

The position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, attention to quality, and independence with occasional training.

Qualifications

• Experience welding Aluminum and Stainless Steel to high precision.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Capability to inspect welds and ensure quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum assemblies using TIG and laser welding with leak-tight quality.
• Weld stainless assemblies and shields as required.
• Measure, inspect, and verify own work to meet drawings and tolerances.
• Maintain cleanliness of welding booth and perform shop duties.
• Use ERP (Odoo) for time tracking, inventory and related data.
• Read manuals, drawings, and QC specs for assembly procedures.
