Job summary

Metalcraft Technology Inc in Coquitlam, BC is seeking a Welder to join our precision metal shop. You will perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel components, read blueprints, set up equipment, and ensure weld quality while maintaining safety and clean work areas.

We offer a full-time afternoon shift (Mon-Fri), 40 hours per week, with competitive pay of $25.00-$29.00 per hour and opportunities for growth within a supportive team environment in Canada.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Proficient in TIG and MIG welding techniques and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of WorkSafeBC welding safety practices and procedures.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must own CSA-approved steel-toe boots (other PPE provided by the company).

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding operations on various metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding, torches, and other tools.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants.
  • Position and secure workpieces using clamps, fixtures, or other holding devices.
  • Weld components together according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and weld quality.
  • Inspect finished welds for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Metalcraft Technology Inc. is a manufacturer of precision sheet metal parts serving clients in Canada and the U.S. We are located in Coquitlam, BC, and currently looking for a Welder to join our team. As a Welder, You Will
  • Perform TIG welding operations on various metal components
