Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years general shipping experience
• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures, shipping and receiving procedures
• Computer savvy with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Open to change and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Verify load capacity of trailers and authority of trucks to match shipping records.
• Verify inventory shipped vs. inventory being produced.
• Match received loading sheets to orders and provide to dispatch.
• Release orders to process gatekeepers, manifests and bills of lading.
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.
• Track inventory and report any shortages to sales team to update records.
• Report to management on activities and issues.
• Performs other duties as required to support Shipping Department.
