Job summary

The IT Intern will complete a 4-month work term starting May 2021, and support Precision’s growing environment at a technical level. The successful candidate will be representing the SAP Basis/NetWeaver team in its relationships with business unit customers and other IT groups, in the sustainment of SAP Technical Administration.

Responsibilities include analyzing SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration, supporting simple-to-moderate projects, monitoring systems for errors, and documenting procedures

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS/IS degree or diploma.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices.
• Team-oriented and collaborative experience.
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, and database administration.
• Familiarity with SAP Basis/NetWeaver is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

The IT Intern will complete a 4-month work term starting May 2021, and support Precision’s growing environment at a technical level. The successful candidate will be representing the SAP Basis/NetWeaver team in its relationships with business unit customers and other IT groups, in the sustainment of SAP Technical Administration.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and support of SAP Basis/NetWeaver Administration while being guided by a senior Basis analyst.
• Support on one or more, simple to moderately complex projects as a project team member.
• Regularly monitor and check system components for errors, take the necessary corrective action.
• Prepare documentation of checklists, procedures, and design diagrams relating to SAP systems.
• Support the Maintenance of all SAP environments.
• Perform Troubleshooting for hardware, software, and system problems that involve SAP Modules.

Knowledge & Skills

General Understanding of SAP Business ERP Systems.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

Effective and enthusiastic team player, who works efficiently with minimal supervision.

Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills.

Strong technical management and support skills, specifically able to work with end users to identify and resolve business issues in an innovative manner.

Proficient in Document creation.

Strong analytical and customer service skills.

Education

Pursuing a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in, Computer Science, Information System, or other related studies.

Experience

Understanding of ITIL practices.

Previous experience working in a team orientated, collaborative environment is required.

Good understanding of Windows, Linux, and database administration.
