Job summary

Leading Edge in British Columbia, Canada is seeking a skilled Composites Fabricator / Finisher to manufacture, assemble, repair, and finish composite components using fiberglass, resin systems, and layup techniques.

The role requires reading technical drawings, working with hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and quality throughout the production process.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience and can work independently or as part of a team to meet schedules and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in composite fabrication or fiberglass manufacturing.
• Knowledge of fiberglass, resin application, laminating, bonding, sanding and finishing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate composite components using fiberglass, resin, carbon fiber, and other composite materials as required.
• Prepare molds, surfaces, and materials for composite layup and fabrication.
• Perform hand layup, laminating, bonding, trimming, and assembly of composite parts.
• Sand, grind, polish, fill, and finish components to meet required specifications.
• Inspect finished products for defects, surface imperfections, dimensional accuracy, and quality standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Perform repairs and finishing work on damaged or defective composite components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet manufacturing schedules and quality targets.
