Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to safely operate CNC lathes and milling machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet tight specifications.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of CNC experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education in machining or related trade is considered an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Verify finished parts meet dimensional specifications.
• Identify and report non-conforming parts.
• Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure machine centers, tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring equipment are maintained and in proper working condition.
• Fit and assemble machined metal components and subassemblies using hand and power tools as required.
• Accurately complete work package documentation to ensure product traceability.
• Perform routine daily inspections, care, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
