Job summary

Smartrend Manufacturing Group (SMG) Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Production Assistant to join our fast-growing manufacturing team.

You will work on the production line using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components for our lifesaving patented technology, ensuring quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with a skilled team to meet daily targets, interpret blueprints, and apply mechanical and electrical assembly knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections and QC.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication for collaboration and issue reporting.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies (asset).
• Experience with gasketing or related sealing techniques (asset).

Responsibilities

• Assemble components with hand tools and power tools to meet quality standards.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications for accurate assembly.
• Operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work independently while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced setting.
• Identify issues and communicate them to maintain smooth workflow.
• Apply mechanical and electrical assembly knowledge to improve reliability.
