Job summary

MoveMobility in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a diligent Pre-Production Assembler to support early vehicle modification steps for wheelchair-accessible vans. You will prepare parts, organize materials, and coordinate with the assembly team to ensure accurate pre-assembly tasks ahead of final conversions.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year in production or manufacturing, strong attention to detail, good computer skills, and the ability to multitask calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Assembly Preparation: Organize and prepare parts and materials needed for the assembly of vehicle conversions, including ramps, lifts, flooring, seating and HVAC systems.
  • Component Handling: Ensure that all components are inspected for defects or damage before being passed on to the Production team. Assist in categorizing parts for easy access during the assembly process.
  • Parts Assembly: Assist with the pre-assembly of smaller parts, such as brackets, mounting hardware, and structural components, to be used in the final vehicle conversion.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for parts and materials, ensuring that the assembly team has adequate supplies and notifying supervisors of any shortages.
  • Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company cleanliness standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the lead assembly team, fabricators, and supervisors to ensure that the pre-assembly process is aligned with production schedules.
  • Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of pre-assembly work, including part numbers, quantities, and any special instructions for components.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Job Summary
