Savaria is seeking an on-site Electrical Assembler at our Brampton, Ontario facility. You will assemble electrical components for our accessibility and patient care products, following blueprints and technical drawings, and conduct thorough testing for safety and performance.

You will work with a collaborative team, maintain quality standards, and support process improvements while adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in electrical assembly preferred.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics required.
• Hands-on experience with electrical assembly tools and equipment advantageous.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and circuitry; attention to detail in testing.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble electrical components and systems per specifications and drawings.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, and other fasteners.
• Conduct testing and quality checks to ensure safety and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical assemblies as needed.

• Document assembly processes, test results, and deviations.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, this position will require to perform various dutiesin assembling and testing electrical components for our innovative accessibility and patient care products. Your work will directly contribute to the production of high-quality wheelchair lifts, stairlifts, elevators, and other essential equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components and systems according to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality checks of assembled components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical assemblies as needed, addressing any issues or defects promptly.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
• Assist with the development of new assembly techniques and contribute to process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Mindset, Skills & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical assembly or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications or experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing are advantageous.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical assembly tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and circuitry.
• Ability to perform detailed quality inspections and tests.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
• Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
