Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Laval, QC is seeking a full-time role focused on inspecting cast parts, ensuring complete removal of shell material, and correctly identifying melt numbers and tags. The role requires careful visual inspection and use of boroscope equipment to remove flash and core material.

The incumbent will perform other duties as required and uphold the company’s ethics, environment, health and safety programs. Strong attention to detail and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• When casting is received from the wash-out area, checks if all shell material has been removed.
• Identifies the router card the aluminum tag and the melt number.
• Visually inspects parts for damage, cold shuts, cracks, inclusions, etc.
• Uses boroscope and cleaning tools to clean flashing, core material and small shell in all areas
• Performs other duties as required.
• Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.
• Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.
