Job Opportunity: D&O Practice Leader

Are you a seasoned professional with extensive experience in large corporations and Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance? Do you aspire to join a reputable brokerage and leave a lasting legacy? If so, this opportunity is for you!

Our client in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a skilled technical broker to collaborate closely with the Producer and assist in developing a new division. This is an excellent chance to be part of a startup within a well-established brokerage.

The firm specializes exclusively in associations, and the Practice Leader will play a strategic role in marketing initiatives and engagement with these associations. Flexibility is offered: you can work remotely with periodic travel to BC or from their Ontario office if based in the East.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least 7 years of experience in placing D&O risks
• Proficiency in assessing, structuring, marketing, and placing professional liability coverage for both private and publicly traded entities

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and develop the D&O team
• Prepare insurance submissions
• Conduct due diligence and analyze coverage gaps
• Present benchmarking data to prospects and clients
• Lead marketing strategies, negotiate rates, and coverage terms
• Support producers with client and prospect presentations
• Participate in client and prospect events hosted by the brokerage
• Collaborate on creating marketing materials aimed at prospects
• Ensure compliance and proper documentation for E&O purposes
• Lead brokerage efforts at insurance market events related to professional liability
• Manage support staff for daily client needs

Salary: Up to $200,000, depending on experience
