Job Summary

As a Practice Director for Data & AI, you will set the vision, own the P&L, develop Go-to-Market strategies, and drive growth. Your leadership will be key in establishing market presence and ensuring profitability.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in Data, Analytics, AI, and Gen AI, with deep industry knowledge and leadership experience in data & analytics services. Your insights will inform service development, pricing, and market positioning to keep Toptal competitive.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the Data & AI practice, including strategy, offerings, go-to-market, marketing, sales, business management, delivery, and talent development.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Talent Operations teams.
• Engage in onboarding, relationship building, and strategic planning in the initial months.
• Lead market traction and revenue growth initiatives.
• Establish yourself as the practice’s expert within Toptal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years in practice, with 5+ in leadership roles in data & AI services.
• 3+ years managing P&L.
• Deep knowledge of data management, AI governance, machine learning, and Generative AI.
• Proficiency with AI/data tools (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL, Tableau).
• Experience in marketing, finance, healthcare, or e-commerce industries.
• Strong leadership, strategic, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and contribute as a top individual performer.
