Job summary

The College of New Caledonia is looking for a nursing faculty to instruct in the Practical Nurse Program. The instructor will be involved with delivering theory, lab and clinical based experiences.

The College seeks a candidate with a Baccalaureate in Nursing, current nursing experience, and eligibility for BCCNM; a Master’s degree is preferred and teaching experience is strongly valued to contribute to student success and the college's mission.

Qualifications

• RN with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
• Provincial Instructor’s Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience in acute or community care.
• Recent teaching experience.
• Membership or eligibility for membership in BCCNM.
• Combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered.

Skills & Qualifications

• RN with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, preference will be given to an RN with a Master’s Degree (or within 60 percent completion)
• Provincial Instructor’s Diploma
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience in recent medical, surgical or gerontological areas in acute or community care settings
• A combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered
• Recent teaching experience
• Membership or eligibility for membership in BCCNM
