  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting account teams while fostering a collaborative and high-performing working environment.
  • Overseeing PR campaign execution to ensure timely delivery, high-quality outputs, and measurable results.
  • Managing client budgets, resources, staffing decisions, and annual account planning.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with influential media contacts across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Securing media coverage and managing incoming media inquiries on behalf of clients.
  • Supervising the creation of compelling communications content, including press releases, articles, case studies, and social media posts.
  • Monitoring campaign performance, analyzing results, and presenting clients with regular updates and actionable recommendations.
  • Supporting business development activities, including preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and pitching to prospective clients.
  • Conducting annual performance reviews, identifying skills gaps, and supporting the professional development of team members.
  • Promoting inclusive communication, effective workflows, and consistent reporting across account teams.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a strategic and commercially minded communications professional with extensive agency experience, strong healthcare media expertise, and a proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders. The following qualifications are expected:

  • At least 12 years of public relations experience, primarily within an agency environment.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a team leadership role, including responsibility for budgets and staffing.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring teams, conducting annual performance reviews, and identifying development needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong knowledge of AP writing standards and advanced media pitching.
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical media landscape, including FDA approvals and regulatory requirements.
  • Established media relationships and a demonstrated track record of securing coverage in top-tier publications.
  • Strong client service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advise, coach, and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with inclusive communications, team workflow management, and performance reporting.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a fully remote team.
  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
Benefits
  • Fully remote working arrangement, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world.
