EQ Bank is seeking a highly motivated Co-op Student for its Public Relations & Communications team. You will support corporate communications, media relations, executive communications, and reputation initiatives across the bank.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma / completing education in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong understanding of Canadian Press style is an asset.
• Willing to work in-office at least three days a week.
• Familiarity with Meltwater media monitoring platform is a major asset.
• Familiarity with the use and development of AI agents is a major asset.
• Strong grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Media intelligence and reporting: monitor EQ Bank brands and coverage; draft summaries and updates.
• Owned channel amplification: draft LinkedIn copy and support internal channels.
• PR materials and presentation support: build first-draft slides and gather materials.
• Campaign coordination: track deadlines, approvals and deliverables.
• Media relations research and planning: support journalist research and opportunities.
• Content and sponsored editorial support: assist with briefs and edits.
