Job summary

EQ Bank, Canada's challenger bank, offers a paid internship spanning Product, Marketing and Digital teams in Toronto. You will assist with market research, governance tracking, invoice coordination, and dashboard reporting, while gaining exposure to CRM initiatives and SEO practices.

You will contribute to strategic projects, learn data analysis techniques, and develop digital capabilities in a dynamic insurance/fintech environment, with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or another relevant stream
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with how to complete market research and a competitive analysis
  • Foundational knowledge of Tableau is an asset
  • Business casing and ability to conduct data analysis or interpret data is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to participate in meetings, ask questions, using critical thinking
  • Self-motivated team player with an eagerness to learn and take initiative
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is an asset

Work Term: January - April 2027

This internship will provide a unique opportunity to learn and contribute across the Product, Marketing, and Digital teams within PC Insurance. The successful candidate will support a variety of business activities, including competitive intelligence and market research, governance and action management for key forums, invoice coordination and tracking, dashboard reporting, and strategic project analysis. The role will also provide hands-on exposure to marketing execution through CRM initiatives, customer lifecycle programs, campaign quality assurance, and enterprise asset development, while offering opportunities to build digital capabilities by supporting SEO initiatives and learning digital optimization practices such as Meta tagging.

Through this broad range of responsibilities, the successful candidate will gain valuable experience in strategy, operations, marketing, and digital execution within a dynamic insurance business.

The Core Responsibilities of the Job
  • Competitive intelligence, including market scans, competitor tracking, and synthesis of key insights to inform portfolio priorities.
  • Joint Steering Committee/Governance and action management, including tracking follow-ups, preparing action logs, and supporting meeting readiness.
  • Invoice management, including coordination, tracking, reconciliation support, and escalation of outstanding items.
  • Dashboard and reporting support, including data gathering, report maintenance, and preparation of recurring performance updates.
  • Strategic projects and research support, including analysis, summary development, and coordination activities for priority initiatives.
  • Marketing support, including mass production of enterprise assets for LCL ISA execution, CRM roadmap QA for customer lifecycle journey programs, and QA support for paid media, retail execution, and CRM campaign initiatives.
  • Digital support, including learning and applying Meta tagging practices to support SEO efforts across digital properties.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from EQ Bank's additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
