The PR and Events Specialist supports the development and implementation of Knix’s communications strategy. This role requires attention to detail and awareness of current news, trends, and pop culture. The specialist will work closely with agency partners and key brand stakeholders to amplify product launches and brand initiatives across North America, including managing partnerships, fostering relationships, event management, and positioning the brand as a leader in the DTC intimates category.

The Opportunity
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of PR and collaborate with North American PR agencies for flawless execution of the communications plan.
  • Support administration and execution of ambassador and influencer programs, including communication, seeding, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in developing pitch materials, messaging, and press releases.
  • Coordinate seeding opportunities with press, partnerships, and influencers.
  • Work with Operations to ensure timely product seedings.
  • Build press relationships and vet partnership and award opportunities.
  • Handle inbound press and sample requests in collaboration with PR agencies.
  • Monitor press coverage and competitor activity, reporting internally.
  • Support crisis management efforts.
  • Assist with schedules, budgets, and vendor outreach.
  • Provide onsite support for vendor coordination and events.
  • Create event recaps and post-mortems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of PR agency or in-house experience.
  • Proficiency in Cision and Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with influencer relations and brand partnerships.
  • Understanding of media landscapes in Canada and the US.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Excellent time management and stakeholder accountability.
  • Ability to vet press and partnership opportunities aligning with company values.
  • Critical thinking, subject matter expertise, and problem-solving skills.
