Are you looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Maintenance department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of the Manager or designate, the Power Engineer 4 (PW4) operates, repairs and carries out preventative maintenance on the boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility. Performs mechanical maintenance, repairs, and replacement duties related to the physical plant, buildings, and equipment approaching various journeyman trades qualifications. Supervises other maintenance workers and designated staff as required. Manages contractors and projects as required.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, Nights, 07:00 to 15:00, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, 15:00 to 23:00 (rotating)

University Hospital Of Northern BC (UHNBC) Is The Largest Acute Care Facility Within The Northern Health Region, And a Hub For Specialized Health Services. It’s Also a Teaching Hospital

  • Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia.
  • Hosts residents in UBC’s Family Practice Residency Program
  • Is a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions.
