Job summary

Public Health Postpartum Community Services in Calgary seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the postpartum team. You will perform health assessments, screen newborns and families, provide direct care, education and referrals in clinic and virtual settings.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, demonstrate strong communication, time management, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Active or eligible for registration with CLHA (Alberta).
• Experience in postpartum maternal and infant care in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments and screening for postpartum patients and newborns.
• Provide direct care, education and referrals as needed.
• Document contemporaneous electronic records and coordinate with the care team.
